Question1)
Comment on Toxoplasma Gondii. What do you think??
Thinking about how parasites ( and diseases in general) can affect behavior really makes me wonder about how and why things happened in the past, and how and why things will happen in the future. Were some of the "bad things" that happened in history due to someone being infected with a parasite or a disease? If so, how would it have been different had that parasite been eradicated prior to that person being born?
When we think about almost everything which is smaller, it has capability of effecting large on almost anything. Let's think about chemical element O2, it is very micro, even our eyes could not even see, but O2 is the only element which provides all organisms including our self. Without O2, we can not live. How about parasites? Parasites has the essential role to your clean environment, any parasite lives any environment such under water, over water, or land has their role clean up that environment by eating human pollution, dead animals. Without Parasites our environment will not be same as today. Since everything has 2 sides, parasites also can be consider bad things for generating diseases. In order to understand the root of parasites generating disease, Parasites contains some bacteria which is not suitable for humans, so therefore we need to understand what kind of bacteria they contain, what they eat, what might have been changing in their environment etc. Parasites are sometimes immigrate from environment to another which might cause the diseases to the new environment. Some of the causes are from human accident such as oil spill at golf of U.S. Golf spill might cause parasites to clean something that they have never experience, and then from eating oil under the sea bottom, parasites may change even they can become sick which might effect to the other marine animals. Only animals working 247 cleaning up oil spill at Golf of Mexico are parasites. So someone may say parasites are bad they generate disease, but someone might say No they clean up the environment.
For future, I think we need to careful about what we are doing right now, especially knowing at least try to consider small animals live in the certain environment.
It's not a Invasion of any parasite has been affecting how things were changing, it's partially us that we are changing the way parasites live. Everything in past and everything now will change forever. Welcome to Earth.

1) Suppose you had a coupon for a free robot. The catch is it can only do one thing. But you can get a robot that will do whatever one thing you like, just not anything else. What would you want your robot to do?
2) Write or develop an additional significant piece of your project. As a suggestion, consider the connection of robots to your topic. However, if another subject besides robots seems more appropriate, that is just as good. Post the new section on your blog.
3) Comment on the time lapse videos. What are your opinions?
1) If i had a coupon for a free robot, that will whatever one thing i like, just not anything else, I would like it to make me some money, because while I'm sitting in the class robot will be somewhere making some money, that will be greatly helpful for my future education and career. I want to give my mom break from working so hard. She worked so hard to raise me and my brother and now she is still working get me through college. I want to give my mamma break. That's my only wish.
2)I have added time traveler on my blog, there was someone holding cellphone or some kind of mobile device in Charlie Chaplin Movie zoo, it was very scary and same time it was very cool to see that clip.
3) Everything in this earth has expiration date, look around you anything you can possibly think has their limit. Everyday seems so similar to each other but everyday is different day because everything has changed seconds, Even our earth has moved from direction Everything changes time after time, it is the rule for this world. Changes are not constant, changes are process. everything can't change all the time, it has time limit, but we never know when is the time limit will reach the end. From the beginning to the end of the limit is life, at least to us it is. During the moment of a life, we consume a lot, supply few, but in the end

Q1) We discussed in class how there is no such thing as a "scientific proof." Explain in your own words.
Scientific Proof and Unscientific proof both have faith in future, but they explanation method is very different, for example unscientific proofs are explained or driven by the supernatural force. through out the history, people have asked searching question: How can we deal with the
forces of nature? How can we treat illnesses? How can we organize our government
and societies? HOw should we lead our lives? They usually turned to respected and gifted
individuals for answers. Modern Science is essentially a product of the peropd of enlightenment
followed the dark ages and middle ages, before the fifteenth century, there was a gradual transition
from unscientific to the scientific, and early scientific and early scientist dabbled in both.
For example, the great Isaac Newton, whose work and the magical apple, provides the cornestone
of our modern science, Astronomy, Physics, jet that can fly out of planet earth.
Charles Darwin was looking for soul, and his work has helped millions of scientific field, invention of DNA, revolution of species etc.
Science has been explaining how things work, where it possibly came from, from these reasoning and questing, and creating model which possibly tell us what might happen in the future. Scientific proof requires logical, rational way of thinking and explanation.
Unscientific proof can include unexplainable things, things can not be explained by rational and logical way of thinking. Some say it is beyond the logical and rational way of thinking, but some say it's opposite.
Scientific and Unscientific predictions have one purpose, to tell the future, if it's not correct, or exact on time, both can be turn to be false proof.
Q2) I will send you PowerPoint slides.
Q3)Q3) This course has been designated as able to help keep our curriculum accredited! Therefore we need to ask students to answer certain questions. This week's question is:
Assess the impact of information and/or computing on individuals (rather than, say, organizations). Assess this impact on the following dimensions:

1) Recall the show Earth 2100. How does your best judgment about the years up to 2100 compare with the vision provided by the show? For example, if you were to give a younger brother or sister advice on what things will be like, how would that compare to the show?
2) Add more to your project writeup (assuming your project is a report). Focus on, or at least mention, climate change as it could relate to your topic.
Questions 1 and 2 together should add up to 300 words or more. (If your project is not focused on a report, then you may need to explain how you modified this guideline.)
You may take notes if you wish on how the video relates to your topic as we watch it:
1)I like to think that future as brighter than today. My prediction of 2100 will be more green positive, but also things we do might make future worse than today, May be some of catastrophes happen such as ozone level will be decreased, because heat factors, green house effect, over population, decrease in food supply because of gasoline. Everything is related to each other. But we know that gasoline price is rising right now, it will effect on every single item we use our daily basis life. No government, No country is stepping up doing something which can prevent enough of those disasters. there is a always problem of money, of course, and the difficulty of getting agreement on best course of action, agreements by those who represent divergent interests around the world. They include the rich, the poor, the religious, the captains of industry and their workers, farmers, the city dwellers, the lovers of the great with enlightened and farsighted leadership and with the requisite sacrifices, progress is possible. It must be, because the stakes are so enormous.
If i were to advice my brother or, I would show some of the models I have prepared.
But most of the time people find out early in their life about there are problems which might harm everybody, but we are late most of the time finding solution for it. I strongly suggest my brother to find out solution or alternatives about this facing issues.
But I don't want to scare my brother or sister about telling and focusing on the catastrophes, i want to tell him or her other side of the coin, the bright side. Things will improve, they always do, longer life spans, better health and welfare, prosperity, and general contentment. And even small algae in the sea produces a food for fish, prove thousands of animal a oxygen. It doesn't have to be, but do your best and be wise about our utilities. With that life and destiny will continue show us the way to a better world.
The Basic Idea on Climate change
Earth is heated by sunlight. Some of the incoming energy is reflected by the upper atmosphere, some of it is absorbed by the the air on the way down, but almost half of it reaches the surface of the earth and heats it up. The warm earth in turn radiates heat in the form of infrared waves. This energy in the infrared band is partially absorbed by the atmosphere and re radiated back to earth. It is this exchange of infrared that makes the considerable warmer than it would be were there no atmosphere. it also this heat exchange that constitutes the greenhouse effect. in fact, without an atmosphere to catch and return the infrared waves, the earth would be a very inhospitable place indeed. The amount of greenhouse warming and the average temperature of the earth's surface are determined in part by the composition of the atmosphere the percentage of moisture and of various chemicals. CO2 is so important in this composition that scientists have been able to demonstrate a direct relationship between temperature and level of CO2. In particular, a good deal of work has been performed to analyze conditions during the ice ages that have occurred on our planet periodically. Geological records show that over the past million years, the earth has been quite cold most of the time, except for so call interglacial, warm periods that last about 10,000 years and recur every 100,000 years more or less. Analyses of core samples obtained by drilling very deep holes into the polar ice caps show that interglacial periods were accompanied by relatively high level of CO2 in the air. Hence CO2 and elevated earth temperatures seem to have gone hand in hand for long time. Actually CO2 is not the only gas that absorbs infrared radiation. Other components such as CFCs, methane, nitrous, oxide, and ozone (at low altitudes) are believed to contribute to the greenhouse effect.
Ozone is a relatively rare form of oxygen in that molecule of ozone contains three atoms of oxygen O3, while the garden variety of oxygen has only two atoms per molecule. That extra atom gives ozone very beautiful properties. At or near ground level, ozone is a very noxious component of air pollution. It causes respiratory difficulties for people and does harm to plant life as well as industrial products ranging all the way from rubber tires to ladies stockings. However things are very different in atmosphere.
Approximately 5-10 miles up, where the air is very, very, thin, sunlight causes some of the oxygen in the atmosphere to break up then recombine to form ozone. This beautiful phenomenon occurs to up an altitude of 30 miles, so that an atmospheric layer about 20 miles thick and rich ozone is generated. This is our ozone layer, and the portion of our atmosphere in which it is located is known as the stratosphere. Stratosphere ozone absorbs a large portion of the ultraviolet rays, which are part of the incoming sunlight, thereby effectively protecting the earth from this very dangerous form of radiation.
All greenhouse gases come from human activities? nature processes has green gases, but recent years the increase in its concentrations, many believed because of use of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and worldwide decimation of forests by logging and the clearing of tropical rain forests for agricultural purposes. But we use the fossil to make energy, to stay warm, to make our clothes, we all need food because of our super increasing populations...
I think solution can be ...

HW#7
Death: Once a Upon a time there was a merchant in Baghdad who sent his servant to the market to buys a provisions and in a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said, Master, just now when I was in the market-place i was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned I saw it was death that josled me. She looked at me and made a threatening gesture; now, please lend me your horse, and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate. I will go to Samarra and there death will not find me. The merchant lent him his horse and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in its flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went. Then the merchant went down to the market-place and he saw me standing in the crowd and he came to me and said, Why did you make threatening gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning? That was not threatening gesture, i said, it was only start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Bagdad, for I had an appointment with him to-night in Samarra

Predictions, especially prediction that associates with our existence, our society normality, catastrophes of some kind, always have been very important place in the psyche of the human race. Ancient and modern societies always been similarly fascinated by prophecies, curiosity about the future. From early days, people believed in prophet which connotes any individual who speaks for God or the gods, who serves as mouthpiece for divinity. In fact, from the days of the Delphic oracles, to the Roman vestal virgins, to the Revelation of St.John to Nostradamus, prophecies were invariably so convoluted, ambiguous and murky that few could interpret them until after they were fulfilled-but strange thing is they were always fulfilled.
for example:
According to Nostradamus
Sonsg, chants and slogans of the Slavic people
While princes and Lord are captive in the prisons
In the future, by idiots without heads
Will be received as divine oracles.
Nostradamus interpreters who found this quatrains was a predictions of 1917 Russian revolution. Some say the way he writes this quatrains in so strange, is because of understanding future figures and items was very difficult. But he tried all his best to make meaning out of what he saw in his vision.
So what is our time prophet? Where are they? who are they?
The ancient time, prophets were known to have supernatural power to travel to future, to warn society from major catastrophes etc, but it was the government authorities who asks the questions and rely on their answers. But most of the times we realize right after when catastrophic event happened, destroyed some amount of damage in society, economy and population.
It took a long time for science and computers to be well accepted as new revolution of information. Government authorities started rely on scientists, who are making computations to analyze systems and trying to predict what will happen in the future. Prediction of almost anything such as economic, weather forecast, the depletion of the ozone layer, the greenhouse effect and earthquakes.

2) The concept of collection data, observing and making a system.
I would collect data preferable similar to my idea done with forethought in a well organized way, or systematic manner to step up to next level
By collecting data, i can have very clear image what it could be inside outside. May be i can use the model to predict something new. predict doesn't only mean telling future right?
Most importantly I need to make sure will it be successful or partially successful or not.

HW#6
Q: Put your answer to this question on your blog under the heading HW6, and label it "1." Regarding your term project topic, give a list of references to useful Web sites and other information. Check the blogs of the others in the class because, for HW #6, people were asked to provide some Web sites relevant to your topic and provide reviews of them. You may quote the reviews in your document (use quotation marks) if you like. The basic idea here is to begin to assemble everything you have on the topic in one place so you have something to work with. Here are the blogs of the members of the class:
1) http://www.howstuffworks.com/usb.htm
http://www.lightinthebox.com.sb/the-ultimate-solution-in-car-theft-prevention.html
Q.Give your answer to this question the label "2." Design an outline for your report (if you are going to do a report). If you are going to write a story, design something about it (a plot? An outline? Some alternative possible themes? Whatever - if I had experience as a creative writing instructor I might be able to provide further guidance.) If you want to do something besides a report or a story (say a program, or whatever it is), you are welcome to check with me for suggestions, or just figure out yourself what to do for this question that is equivalent. Give the outline.
2) Introduction
How I come out with this USB key Idea
and Applying TRIZ methods
Body
Details about how it works and additional devices
Possibly show the actual program
for Demonstration Using OS
COnclusion
Q: Give your answer to this question the label "3." Reorganize your answer to question 1 using the outline of question 2. The resulting report is a start to your project, and is the answer to this question!
3) Understanding how USB works will help me to develop this project that I'm working on. I have a idea that USB key for everything. USB that has a unique code for specific doors and I have applied a lot TRIZ methodology to enhanced on this device. Main purpose is to reduce pocket items. etc. By doing this I have came with having USB on the smart phone. it will reduce your pocket weight. Also understanding finger print scanning system, id card scan system might help me to make better devices.
And In order to show, how it possible work, I might use booting operating system from USB or write a small program that reads file on USB.

Homework#5
1)Recall "The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams." This was very applicable to this course because he was talking about the future...your future! (Actually, his kids' futures - at the end he said that was one of his head fakes, but that's ok.) Give at least one lesson, insight, or other interesting thought you get from the movie. Explain.
When I was watching the video, it was very inspiring to me how he grow up, how he come up with ideas and other people support to the speaker was like a miracle. He did keep his humble, honest, free-thinker, child like characters in this kind of society, was one of the admirable things and rare thing to have in this society. Because internal environment separates us from our crazy imagination, power of dreaming, and the thought that say NOTHING is impossible. He didn't give up on those dreams, he kept holding with those dreams. One of the important thing was he did work for those dream, he tried to make those dream.
According to his presentation, he faced with many life changing decisions. But every decision, even attempt to make decision was related to his dream. His dream was priority number one. But he didn't become an astronaut, but he flew higher and faster than astronauts in his dream world. Most importantly, he is always happy about what he does everyday. What I learned was, do what you have passion for, and do it good. Most importantly appreciate more to whoever is supporting you.
b) Consider what topic you would like to work on for a term project. In this course, we will develop the project incrementally with each HW, so that it matures as we go along and there is less risk of a mad rush at the end. You could use the topic you used for our discussion of the Delphi Method. Or you could pick another one. Either way, you can change your mind later if you like. For now, state your topic, and how sure you are about whether to do it.
I'm thinking about reducing items in our pocket that we carry everyday, I'm thinking to put everything together like phone, wallet, key, etc to one items. I will call it, "UNIKEY".
I also had another idea how to record guitar without connecting it to recorder or computer. Only guitar and device but it would be transferable to computer and you can listen back just like Ipod.
(I'm pretty sure about this 2 ideas, I have to choose one of them)

Future of online and virtual education
Thinking of Future, and its education system will be very different than today's. There are millions of people who are willing to come or study abroad. It will be so cool to enroll in class from Mongolia sitting on my computer and get the American diploma. It will be very nice to teach English or Mathematics to hundreds of kids who are in Africa,South Asia, and Latin America at same time, without standing in the sun. It will be very nice for teacher has to go and show real field method class from Siberian wild forest. It will be very nice to travel through amazon river while you are sitting in place you feel comfortable.

3) i have idea of using phone as key, credit card. I'm thinking to branch out this device to different level. Key will be shape as USB which contains unique code for your door, car, storage unit, bank safe, etc.U can start your car with voice activation, finger print etc. This phone can include all of security devices. But the one side of the phone will be credit card magnetic stripe but it only activates with your finger print confirmation from touching your phone special screen. Also the phone has a GPS navigator, Voice activation device, Security alarm, etc.
By doing this we may eliminate death rate of car accident from texting while you driving, talking while you driving etc. Because phone will be used as key and attach to the car certain place and stays in certain place.

Recently the University of California, Berkeley made a someone might say strange research about how people choose their hand in order to perform some certain activities, such as pushing elevator button, holding car key, etc. The University of California, Berkeley has applied transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to the posterior parietal cortex region of the brain in 33 right-handed volunteers and found that stimulating the left side spurred an increase in their use of the left hand.
Researcher has found out that the left hemisphere of the brain controls the motor skills of the right side of the body and vice versa. By stimulating the parietal cortex, which plays a key role in processing spatial relationships and planning movement, the neurons that govern motor skills were disrupted. Most importantly, researchers found out, using TMS possible to alter how people make decision in daily basis. Further research possibly helps us to manipulate brain function to body function, even possibly rehabilitation of victim of stroke etc.
"By understanding this process, we hope to be able to develop methods to overcome learned limb disuse," said Richard Ivry, UC Berkeley professor of psychology and neuroscience and co-author of the study.
In TMS, magnetic pulses alter electrical activity in the brain, disrupting the neurons in the underlying brain tissue. While the current findings are limited to hand choice, TMS could, in theory, influence other decisions, such as whether to choose an apple or an orange, or even which movie to see, Ivry said.

In an early step toward letting severely paralyzed people speak with their thoughts, University of Utah researchers translated brain signals into words using two grids of 16 microelectrodes implanted beneath the skull but atop the brain.
"We have been able to decode spoken words using only signals from the brain with a device that has promise for long-term use in paralyzed patients who cannot now speak," says Bradley Greger, an assistant professor of bioengineering.

HOMEWORK#3
When we will receive virtual data transfer to our brain for learning purpose?
I have designed this question because in movie Matrix they have something in their brain and they can learn anything in mil second through inserting something into their brain(just like USB flash driver but directly to our brain) . And I thought May be in reality people might receive data or may be one day it will become things that we perceive things in our life.
first attempt 2800, 2500, 2450, average was 2500
second attempt 2500, 2890, 2650. average was 2650.
2. Read up on the Delphi method on the Web (or the library, if you remember what those are - they still have useful stuff not available on-line!). Explain how the process that we went through in class differs from the process as described in the sources you found.
3. Based on what you find out about the Delphi method, what shortcomings, risks, or other weaknesses do you see for the process that we followed in class? Also do you see a way to fix some of these?
Deplhi method doesn't have accurate stable result. Sometimes participating group can mis assume about the years. I don't know the way to fix it.

Delphi Method is is a systematic, interactive forecasting method which relies on a panel of experts. The experts answer questionnaires in two or more rounds. After each round, a facilitator provides an anonymous summary of the experts’ forecasts from the previous round as well as the reasons they provided for their judgments. Thus, experts are encouraged to revise their earlier answers in light of the replies of other members of their panel. It is believed that during this process the range of the answers will decrease and the group will converge towards the "correct" answer. Finally, the process is stopped after a pre-defined stop criterion (e.g. number of rounds, achievement of consensus, stability of results) and the mean or median scores of the final rounds determine the results

Topic 1
http://www.futurity.org/earth-environment/green-at-heart-but-not-in-the-wallet/
This article talks about the how green products actually doing in real market in our society and how consumer adopting green products in their demand.
Also this article might be predicting the green products future existence in comsumer demand, also it might be the begining of some new way of consumer behavior.
The interesting thing about this article was, the difference between consumer attitude towards to green product and their actual action towards are more less different. But I think new items in our life always take some to get used to it.
Topic 2
http://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/science_nation/musicman.jsp
This article is about music engineering such as compressing size of the music. Imagine how many of us listen music everyday life. Compressing music size will be very helpful for many of us.
for me the interesting part of this article was compressing the size of the mp3 which said "
On the engineering side, this kind of information has led to improvements in music compression.
Most of us are familiar with the musical compression of an iPod, or other MP3 player. The basic idea with music compression is just to reduce the size of the file that you have to transmit or store so hundreds of songs can fit on a small device."
Topic 3
http://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/science_nation/carswithoutdrivers.jsp
It will be very nice car without driver because I can sit in that car even I'm drunk or sleepy.
The catchy phrase is in the article was "The idea is that when you get to wherever you're going, you get out at the door, and the vehicle can then drive off, go into the parking lot, find a parking space, park itself and wait for you to contact it to come back and get you. So, it's a valet without the valet."
